The aim of this series of lessons has been to emphasize the importance of the evangelism program of Jesus Christ. After following Jesus through Luke’s two narratives, it is obvious He did not leave His heavenly home to build a better meeting place on earth so His disciples could conduct a better system of worship.
He came to “seek and save the lost.” We might conclude that the Lord’s church who has not forsaken their first love is still serving the mission of Jesus Christ (Rev. 2:4-6). Since Jesus’ “first love” is evangelism, it will be the first love of each congregation of His people. Part V will be entitled “The Result of Our King’s Evangelism in Acts
